Driving Success: JM Clark’s Commitment to FORS Gold Standards

What is FORS Gold?

In today’s fast-paced world, efficiency, safety, and sustainability are at the forefront of any successful business operation—especially in transport and logistics. Holding FORS Gold accreditation for the last 6 years, at JM Clark, we know what it means to take a proactive approach to safety and sustainability. FORS Gold accreditation raises the quality and safety standards of fleet operations by ensuring the upkeep of good practices and compliance with the requirements laid out by the FORS Standard.

Why do companies use FORS?

As the construction industry evolves, it can have an impact on the world around us, by becoming a FORS Gold member we are able to become a leading provider in the industry as well as being environmentally aware, of the impact the construction industry has around us. Keeping up to date with the latest guidelines and legislation can be challenging, but with a dedicated transport team we are able to keep on top of the changes and conduct training sessions for our operatives to ensure they are operating in a safe and lawful way.

Impact of FORS Gold Accreditation

By achieving a FORS Gold accreditation we have a much higher standard of operations in absolutely everything, from vehicles and their maintenance to the person operating the machinery to the employees in head office.

The transport team look at local sourcing for essential equipment and have managed to reduce the cost of supplies substantially, because of this we are able to source more eco-friendly machinery as part of our fleet management program.

Becoming FORS Gold accredited has given us a huge advantage in the industry, growing as a company substantially within the last 3 years alone, it has contributed to the further accreditations our company has achieved. As a result of this we have been invited to take part in bigger projects such as the HS2 development.

Commitment to FORS

As a company we fully committed to the health, safety of all employees as well as our vehicles and the environment around us, we now have a dedicated health and safety advisor, the primary role is to visit the sites we are working on and ensure the operatives are working within the realm of health and safety regulations, as well as putting their individual training to good use.

Additionally, we make use of various technologies to keep us on the latest trends for safety and compliance:

AIONE - Assists in planning jobs to ensure operators are not driving excessively far or doing excess mileage in going back and forth to various jobs that have been assigned to the individual.

Aquarius Clock watcher – This is a fully digital version of all the maintenance plans of trucks, we can forsee the maintenance required and ensure we will have the correct parts to carry out any repairs needed and ensure the vehicle’s safety to keep in line with the DVSA guide to roadworthiness.
